Oma and I went swimming

Oma and Ompa came to visit this weekend, and Oma took me swimming twice. It was too deep for me to stand, so I spent a lot of time sitting on the stairs.

Ona and I wait for Daddy to get in the pool.

Daddy held me to do some kicking and paddling.

Here's a little bit of video of Daddy and I

I still like to jump into the pool as long as Daddy will catch me. But I took a little time to make up my mind this time.

Two Buses

This morning I got to ride on TWO buses to get to child care. The first bus took us from near our house to the CSU student center, and there we got on a second bus, with a very friendly driver. He dropped Mama and I off about a block and a half from my child care, so I didn't have to walk as far. We even got there in time for me to play outside for a while!

Mama wasn't sure we were going to make it there on time, though. I was evidently still hungry because after I got dressed, I took myself downstairs, pulled out the block of cheese and took several bites out before Mama got downstairs. She cut the edge to be more even and fed me the rest.

Before she got up I took down my gate and helped myself to the cream cheese. I had the package open and looked like I was ready to coat Daddy's chair with it. Shades of the butter incident the other morning. (Mama here--pictures to come of the butter incident.) She said something about locking the refridgerator, but I'm not sure why.

Grapes and Coffee

So daddy and I were home the other evening by ourselves, or as daddy puts it "Just us Chickens." I went to the fridge to get my juice and saw one of my favorite foods, (for today at least), Grapes. So, daddy and I put some grapes into a bowl, put the rest back in the fridge, and ate grapes. We finished the first bowl, and I wanted more, so knowing where they were, I just went and got them. By the third bowl, I was more playing than eating. I looked at daddy and said "I Pinch", proceeded to stuff a grape into my cheek, put the bowl up to my mouth and pinched the grape out into the bowl. It is funny to watch the grape spin about the bowl, and daddy couldn't stop laughing. I did this several times.

On daddy's birthday morning, daddy was not feeling well and did not make coffee for himself. This makes me sad, because then I don't get to help make it, or help drink it. By about mid morning, (long enough that daddy SHOULD have made coffee), I decided to make my own. I know how to turn on the coffee pot, and what buttons to press to make the coffee come out. I even remembered to put a cup under the hole where the coffee comes out. I am such a big boy, making my own coffee.

I was pretty fascinated by this leaf at Antema's house.

It didn't taste very good, though.

Here's Pardner playing with what's left of a trash can lid. At the very end, you can see him take a bite out of the lawn. Mama's friend Megan thinks it might be a Border Collie thing...as some of hers do that as well. (Pardner's other half is Corgi)

Other news with me is that I apparently have grown again and my 2T shirts are not fitting well and the sleepers not at all. So in height I'm moving to 3T now. I still wear between 12-18 month in bottoms because I have trouble keeping them up if they are any larger around the middle. I'm also outgrowing my size 6 shoes.

I am tall enough to reach most of the light switches in the house, and if my parents set the baby gate high enough that I can't reach over and unlock myself, I can slide underneath and get out that way. So now they are trying a double-decker gate system which has worked so far, although I am NOT happy about it.

Mama got some new pictures and video of me at a different park today, but she needs Daddy's help to get them off her phone. So it may be a while.

Here are a few more pictures taken at Antema and Bapa's house:

ME DO IT!

I was adamant that I needed to put on my shirt myself, with no helping hands. When I was eating breakfast, one arm was still coming out the bottom of the shirt, so it looked a bit like a "toga." Then I got my other arm out the hole for my head and wore my shirt like this.

Mama did eventually get it placed correctly, but I was not about to let her help in the beginning.
