September 27 - Four months old today

This picture is from a couple of weeks ago, but Mama doesn't think she posted it yet. She calls this carpet swimming.

I blew my first "raspberry" today. Mama wondered if I was going to be a born trumpet player when she saw me. I haven't done it again yet. But I learn new things every day.

I also have been working on some old things--like trying to crawl. The back end is willing but the arms are still weak. So I'm carpet swimming for a bit longer, it seems. Mama and Daddy breathe a sigh of relief, but I'm not sure why.

Mama found a jungle themed floor mat play thingy for me and I really seem to like it so far. I hit some of the hanging danglies (sometimes I just kick them), I flirt with the baby in the mirror, and I grab the elephant's ear that makes the funny crinkly sound. I keep rolling over and sometimes rolling off.

I'm still doing my best to start standing. I push off with my legs anytime I'm held, and I smile really wide to encourage my holder to keep supporting me while I try again.

September 25--Pictures from Antema

Antema has a play set in her yard. She propped me up in this swing and I was confused for a while, but then I started to like it. She promises me that some day I'll be big enough to fit without the extra support.

I was enjoying myself!

I've learned how to cover my face when the lights are bright and I want to be left alone.

Antema got me a "Johnny Jump Up" in good condition, and since I like to jump, I really like it!

I like to chew while I jump

September 15--Making lots of noise at Antema's house

Despite the best efforts of Antema and Grammy, I am a thumb sucker. I'm also a talker and I really like music.

September 25--More guest video from Antema

I am making funny faces but I'm not so noisy in this one.

September 20 - I found my foot!

I haven't gotten my foot to my mouth yet, but I've figured out how to grab my toes.

A few days ago, Daddy had a birthday. I got him a card with a frog on it, and a white board for his math homework. (Mama was thinking of having me get him a tie--but the board was what he requested.)

He had quite a few candles to blow out.

But he got the job done! Happy birthday Daddy!

September 7 - Rolled over for real

Getting ready to go--arms and legs are all moving

Building momentum

All the way over! (I always scoot myself around before Mama gets the picture.)

I rolled over by accident a couple of weeks ago, and I've been working at this skill pretty hard but last night and this morning I finally figured out what to do with that pesky arm! Mama was going to take pictures of the process, but she only got before and after (and they're not downloaded) of the occasion.

Antema found a crib for me that Mama and Daddy may put upstairs (a full sized crib may not fit in their room!) for me. Aunt June has a dresser for me. Now they just have to find time to get things rearranged and organized. At some point when they find time.

I went to great-grandma's 90th birthday party with Uncle Kevin and cousin Nicole. I was a star while there, and was my typical flirtatious self. Pictures have been promised, but not seen yet. Mama and Daddy both had to work so they missed it.

Mama tells me that we are coming up on birthday season in our family--Connor on the 11th, Grandma Betty on the 13th and Daddy on the 17th. I am telling her that I am awake and in need of some attention or cuddling, so we are going to sign off for now.
