P--O--O--L

Daddy succumbed to a beautiful--and rather warm--day and got me a little pool yesterday. I got right in and enjoyed myself!
Daddy and Mama each took some time soaking their feet, although neither actually got IN. I splashed them a bit, though.
Today, even though the water was COLD (according to Mama, anyway) I got in and waded around. I ended up sitting a couple of times because I was being a bit of a monkey and lost my balance. So then I tossed in small rocks and reclaimed them for a while. Then I started dipping my head into the water, over the edge.
When I finished, I had a rather unique hairstyle by wading pool look going on.
I enjoyed it quite a bit. I really liked watching the videos that the parents took. Unfortunately, Mama is not seeing the place to upload them.
So I'll have to leave you with my silly hairdo and a smile.

Daddy's little helper

Has learned how to climb down from the counter by himself. Mama is not entirely sure if he climbed up by himself as well.

Children's Workshop Mother's tea

This is my best friend, Aidan, and me. Don't we do a great job of hamming it up for a camera?
Mama Bunny and Baby Bunny share a moment.
Antema came to tea at Children's Workshop, and afterwards I put my head on her lap to watch a few clouds. Of course I didn't stay there long.
This was taken a couple of weeks ago, but no one took pictures of Mama and I at the tea. So here she is hugging the stuffing out of me at home.

Hanging out with Connor!

This weekend, Daddy and I went down and visited Connor. I haven't seen him for a while. We've both grown quite a bit since then.
Goofiness must run in the family!

Gone to the birds

Mama and I went to a presentation from the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program yesterday.
Here the speaker is demonstrating how a feather from a golden eagle makes noise. Then she demonstrated how the smaller feather in her other hand, from an owl, is silent. Later on I was able to feel both of them. Mama didn't get a picture because *she* wanted to feel them too! The one from the owl was surprisingly soft.
I had a front row seat!
This is a tiny little kestrel. She is blind in one eye, so she is a permanent resident at the facility.
This red tailed hawk is blind in one eye. Mama thought he was handsome.
His handler fed him some mice and some chicken. Mama missed the shot with the mouse tail hanging out.
The hawk was pretty active after his meal.
This barn owl has helped raise a couple of dozen orphaned barn owl chicks that have been released to the wild. He cannot fly from a broken shoulder injury. We got to learn about how owls have uneven ears that help them locate their prey, and how they can turn their necks behind them to almost three-quarters of the way around.

Egg-celent postscript

After my most egg-celent adventures, I was so tired that I fell asleep on my floor.

Egg-celent Easter

Antema, Bapa, and Aunt Jaki came up for Easter Sunday. They stayed at a hotel with an indoor pool, so I got to go swimming. Mama and Daddy are both sick (really sick) and so they were happy to have healthy folks to keep me entertained. Fortunately I am not sick.

Eggs got dyed, and then were hidden, and subsequently found.

(There wasn't one under the kitchen table, but I looked anyway)

Mama did not get any pictures of my chocolate bunny, and now he's more than half gone. I like chocolate.

After our guests went home, Mama took me out to ride my bike to the playground. She was feeling a little better. I spent a lot of time digging in the sand. I rode my bike here and there, and then played in the sand some more. She read on a picnic table with a box of tissues close by.

When we were on the playground, I found a bubble blower. Mama found a discarded bottle and then made some bubble blowing liquid. It was a pretty good ending to the day until I spilled the bottle (dumped quite a lot of it out, actually) and Mama insisted that she was not going to refill it. Fun while it lasted, and Mama has promised that we can do it again soon.

(If you look closely, you can see a bubble in this picture.)
