Back again from Glenwood Springs

Mama took these pictures out the window of the car while Daddy was driving. So some of the shots she got had window streaks in them, because it was far too hot and noisy to drive with the window down. These are all on the trip home. Canyon view

River and mountains

Two sets of striations in the rocks. Colorado has lots of places where you can see neat geological features from the road. (Mama is not an expert at them, but thinks they are kind of neat looking anyway.)

This waterfall is in Idaho Springs

As we were driving home, there was smoke that looked like a forest fire. It turns out that this became the "High Park" fire that took weeks to put out and destroyed a lot of homes and thousands of acres.

The sun was orange from the smoke from the fire as the sun went down.
