Finally! Glenwood Springs
I started out in the pool with Ant Baggy
I swam with my water wings to Antema
Ant Baggy and I see Mama!
A ring of my favorite people--Ant Baggy, Antema, Bapa and Daddy
Daddy in the water, but missing his hat
I was very cold, so Mama is cuddling with me to warm me up. Ant Baggy came and sat with us. (Mama was in a wheelchair that day.)
We went to dinner
We took pictures of Ant Baggy prove after dinner. Doesn't she look great?
She is due to have a cousin for me in early December!
Continuing to Glenwood Springs
We started out after our break through more majestic (albeit high speed) scenes.
Then the land began to change, and become drier.
At long last, Glenwood Canyon comes into sight
(Not the best view through the window, but Mama likes it's impressiveness.)

On the way to Glenwood Springs
Here I am in my torture seat, with duckling (Mama in--he pronounces is "duck-eh-ling") and my little stone elephant. Every picture Mama got of me in the car shows me with my tongue out.
These are pictures Mama took from the car, mostly at high speeds. This is a view from I-70 near the exit to Evergreen, CO. She says this is the only picture in this post where she knows where she was with any confidence (except for the ones with signs or landmarks in them.)
We have runaway truck ramps in Colorado, although drivers never want to use them.
Shine on this picture is from the window. Did I mention we were going fast in the car?
Here I am at our rest stop, climbing the fences like I'm not supposed to...
and dancing!
More from the rest of the trip up later, but Mama needs to go now.

Back again from Glenwood Springs
Mama and Aunt Becky (Ant Baggy) after lunch in Glenwood Springs.
Mama took these pictures out the window of the car while Daddy was driving. So some of the shots she got had window streaks in them, because it was far too hot and noisy to drive with the window down. These are all on the trip home.
Canyon view
River and mountains
Two sets of striations in the rocks. Colorado has lots of places where you can see neat geological features from the road. (Mama is not an expert at them, but thinks they are kind of neat looking anyway.)
Do you see faces in these rocks?
These had neat shadows, too.
This waterfall is in Idaho Springs
As we were driving home, there was smoke that looked like a forest fire. It turns out that this became the "High Park" fire that took weeks to put out and destroyed a lot of homes and thousands of acres.
The sun was orange from the smoke from the fire as the sun went down.

Ranger Lakes
We went camping the last weekend of June to Ranger Lakes, which is in State Forest Colorado State Park. A lot of the trees have died from the pine beetle that eats older trees. We stayed with Antema and Bapa, and some other friends.
Mama likes to take lots of pictures of mountains and stuff. It was still a little hazy from the High Park Fire (which wasn't quite out yet.)
It was clearer the next day, and really reflected those mountains.
There were three otters playing in the water. They were funny!
This is the picture of one's head. Most of the time they dove right when Mama was going to take the picture.
Bapa loaned Daddy some gear, so he and I went fishing. Daddy did the casting because I don't know how. But I practiced reeling slow and then reeling medium.
I reeled in two rainbow trout!
