A long time ago, I visited Oma

A few weeks ago, I spent some time at Oma and Ompa's house in Colorado Springs. (March--spring break) We met at one of Mama's favorite restaurants for lunch.
I rode my bike around the parking lot (the picture did not take) while Mama and Ompa loaded my stuff from the blue car into the little black car.
Oma let me take some pictures! This is Princess.
We played basketball in the hoop and through the trees
I like to ride my scooter down the front porch ramp
We also made Oma's "world famous" chocolate chip cookies. They were delicious! I practiced running down the hallway and jumping onto the loveseat in the living room, but those pictures did not come out either.

Dinosaur egg

Oma got me a dinosaur egg for Easter, and I had a couple of friends over. They were our next door neighbors, Lorelai and Thomas, but they were moving away. Mama made macaroni and cheese with hot dog bits in it, and then I shared my egg for dessert! This was a large hollow egg, already split in two, with tiny chocolate dinosaurs inside. Mama made sure that I shared. Unfortunately the heads and tails were broken off on most (all?) of the baby ones. But they tasted good anyway. We then shared some of the shell and left the rest for later. Mama was too worried about keeping tabs on us and feeding everyone (she fed the parents, too--which she said she preferred to helping clean) that she forgot to take pictures.

Tattoo love

One of my friends from child care included some temporary tattoos in my valentine's card. I wanted to wear them all!

Mama had this crazy idea to take pictures of my tattoos with Daddy's tattoo.

This is a picture of Daddy's tattoo when it was new.

Holiday concert

My child care center, Children's Workshop, had a little holiday concert with the preschoolers. Mama and Daddy (and lots of other parents) braved the tiny school auditorium and lack of parking to come watch. I waved at Mama before the singing started
How do you like the green pants and green shoes that I was sporting? Hand gestures run in our family.
Here I am with some of the others laughing at something.
The little girl on my right jumped down a level (and Mr. Mike made the mistake of laughing at it) and so I joined her. For the rest of the the song he had to keep making us climb back up where we belonged.
My best friend Henry was there as well
But they made sure to put us on opposite ends of the stage. We still keyed into each other during "Jingle Bells" though. (Yellow arrows)
I finished up the night with a big hug from my favorite teacher, Miss Rachael!

Christmas at Oma's house

Mama and I spent the week before Christmas at Oma's house. On Sunday, Dec. 23, Uncle Kevin and family came down to join us and exchange presents.
This is Oma's tree. It has lots and lots of ornaments on it. I was really good and didn't get in trouble for touching it very many times. Oma was surprised and Mama was proud of me.
Mama didn't get a good picture of Uncle Kevin with or without his new tools.
Melissa is his girlfriend.
Kyra (Keer-ah) is her granddaughter.
Oma and I are ready to go!
Our present to Abigail is a handmade lion bank.
I knew how to open my own presents this year--no troubles!
Mama got a lap desk that Daddy immediately began using.
Nicole unwrapping a present
Abigail unwraps her new Furby
I got a baseball glove,
a small red wagon,
a larger red wagon,
and a bunch of pencils with my name on them!
It was fun, and I got a lot of presents. What three year old wouldn't like that?

Building words

I have been watching a lot of videos about words. I started with a bunch of Leap Frog videos about the letter factory and word factory. Then I became very interested in Word World. I'm watching some that Mama got from the library this weekend. Daddy and I decided to build some words like they do in Word World. I know how to spell "dog" so using my blocks I made the word. It starts with the letter D.
I've added an "o" and am looking for the "g"
There it is--I built the word DOG! (Mama in--I don't know why it rotated this picture)
I then picked up my handiwork and admired it.
Daddy and I are changing beginning letters with the same endings--ROOM, LOOM, BOOM, DOOM, ZOOM. Now we are using the same beginning letters--CHIN, CHIP, CHICK. (Mama in--my son scares me sometimes)

A puppy for Christmas

Santa came to our house. I asked him for a puppy.
Right there in the unwrapped box (because Santa is too busy to wrap all the presents) was a puppy! I pushed the button and exclaimed "IT MOVES!!!" So here I am practicing with Bob the (Builder) Puppy on our heeling.
I decided that his picture needed to be taken facing forward, but kept hiding my face.
Here is a good shot of Bob in Daddy's lap.
I also got three new puzzles, which I have made several times each already. Daddy got a welcome frog--named Howard
Connor posing with his cool new tool
Connor and I went outside and built a snowman--with a mohawk.
I rode on the sled with my neighbors--Lorelei and Thomas--and their mom pulled it for us.
We came back in and Connor and I played video games for a while. Connor kept having to rescue me.
Mama took this picture of our white Christmas out the patio door before we went out to play.
We had a good time at Oma and Ompa's house and with Mama's family gift exchange. But that post will have to wait for another day.
