Egg-celent Easter

Antema, Bapa, and Aunt Jaki came up for Easter Sunday. They stayed at a hotel with an indoor pool, so I got to go swimming. Mama and Daddy are both sick (really sick) and so they were happy to have healthy folks to keep me entertained. Fortunately I am not sick.

Eggs got dyed, and then were hidden, and subsequently found.

(There wasn't one under the kitchen table, but I looked anyway)

Mama did not get any pictures of my chocolate bunny, and now he's more than half gone. I like chocolate.

After our guests went home, Mama took me out to ride my bike to the playground. She was feeling a little better. I spent a lot of time digging in the sand. I rode my bike here and there, and then played in the sand some more. She read on a picnic table with a box of tissues close by.

When we were on the playground, I found a bubble blower. Mama found a discarded bottle and then made some bubble blowing liquid. It was a pretty good ending to the day until I spilled the bottle (dumped quite a lot of it out, actually) and Mama insisted that she was not going to refill it. Fun while it lasted, and Mama has promised that we can do it again soon.

(If you look closely, you can see a bubble in this picture.)

Faces

Throughout life, Mama tells me, you will wear many expressions on your face. It's never too early to begin practicing!

Got my ears lowered!

Bapa and I went to get our hair cut when I was visiting them in Golden. Mama thought I looked cute, even if I wasn't particularly cooperative.

Lion's Park Playground (2)

There are lots of slides at Lion's Park Playground!

Climbing up things that scare Mama--all by myself!

Coming down head-first!

Lion's Park Playground (1)

I did it all by myself! From climbing up the rope ladder at one side of the slide structure to crossing bridges and climbing up to the top, a peek at mom and then here I am!

Slugger?

While we were visiting Antema and Bapa this weekend, I found the stand for hitting baseballs. I even found a tennis ball to hit. At first, I just played around. Then Mama realized that I was not holding the bat correctly and corrected me. This was a bit of a challenge because she's left handed and I'm not.

It's pretty fun to have a built in ball retriever, even if he doesn't always want to return the ball. This is from the beginning.

This is from a little later on.

Got some more practice

Daddy thought I had pretty good form on this miss!

Then I took some pictures of Mama.

Daddy is a playtoy

I love to play with Daddy. I also love to be an "upside down boy" and here I got to do both!

Mama also has a couple of short videos of Daddy and I, and Abble, playing together that were taken a while ago. She said to remind everyone that she's always behind. So here they are:

Somehow, Daddy and I discovered that it hurt less if I piled pillows up before jumping on him. So this is now the preferred method for doing a "Hop on Pop"

I also let Abble through the ball to Daddy. Daddy catches very well and very patiently for us.
