Ten years later...

I have not kept up on this but had not realized that it was 10 years already! My boy has grown into a tall young man who handles his own communication now, and has just gotten his first car thanks to his uncle's generosity.
Those headphones almost grow out of his head!

So overdue!

So many things have happened this fall! I joined Tiger Cub Scouts and went to the Cub Scout camp with Mama. I tried archery (and found out that my left eye is dominant.)
I shot a bb rifle (but didn't hit anything.)
I took a turn behind the wheel of the pirate ship. It was a fun time, but I was pretty cold by the end.
I got my first official report card for first grade. I did really well.
I was the goddess Artemis at the Paragon night showcasing the Greek gods. She is the goddess of the moon and hunting.
I was Sonic the hedgehog (I play Sonic Dash, a game, on the iPad) for Halloween. Mama made my costume as the first thing she sewed on her sewing machine. Daddy carved my pumpkin for me to have a ghost on it.

I also lost my two front teeth, although Mama isn't finding a picture of that. We'll try to get some of the pictures from this summer up, but Mama reminded me not to promise anything!

Hams

I was hamming it up with my Daddy yesterday!

Who is that kilted kid?

So the other day I really wanted to wear my blue blanket as a skirt. Mama was not ready to go along with that, but remembered that we had a kilt from Aunt Jaki and Uncle Mark's wedding. So we found it, and it still fit. We even found a belt to go with it!
Mama took me to the playground, and I had a grand time running around.
I had a great time, and enjoyed wearing my kilt again.

If I fits, I sits

Mama laughs at lots of pictures of cats fitting into boxes that really aren't big enough for them. So that is what she thought about when I did this:
If I fits, I sits!

Mama take my picture

So she did. Don't I look silly?

Daddy, I need help with the laces

(Mama sends her apologies and knows that she owes you pictures from Christmas and so on. But at least this is a little something for today.)

Thanksgiving 2014

It was a long day, but relatively laid back all the way around for the long weekend.
I wore my Thing 4 shirt this year, and made silly faces!
Derp face
Mama had to get new glasses (emergency purchase), but she helped make silly faces too.
Daddy and I look handsome together!

Bartel's Farm field trip

We took a field trip to the pumpkin farm
We wore our TPAAK shirts so we were easy to spot. Here we are posing with silly faces by the wagon loaded with pumpkins with our teacher, Mrs. Van Horn.
Her superpower is teaching kindergarten!
We took a hayride pulled by a big tractor
We passed an old pickup that had been turned into farm equipment
Here's a look at the corn maze and the mountains. It was kind of hazy, so things are not so bright.
Off through the corn maze
At long last, we were able to go pick a pumpkin from the fields. Mine got to be too heavy for me, and I was tired, so I picked a gourd instead of a regular pumpkin. My classmate Ethan, who was riding in our car, carried a huge pumpkin almost all the way back to the parking lot when it dropped and cracked open. He picked a small pumpkin to actually go to the car.

Llama Llama Red Pajama!

For my class at school, I am supposed to pick a book character and wear that costume to class on Friday. Mama was not going to make multiple costumes, and she came up with an idea for me to be Llama Llama. She was going to try for the school look in the book she just purchased for me (Llama Llama and the Bully Goat. But she couldn't find the overalls.
So we went with the red pajamas from Llama Llama Red Pajamas instead. Mama took a hat and sewed it into a "llama top" for me.
We went to the Halloween carnival held at Mama's work (Front Range Community College) where I added pumpkin face paint to my look.
I played some of the games
I ate some cotton candy
In general I had a good time and ate too many sweets!

Uh-oh

Mama knew this day was coming, but was hoping to wait a few more years...
There was a partial eclipse of the sun visible in Colorado on Thursday afternoon, so Mama took me to the observatory at her work so I could see it.
They had a special telescope set up that would protect our eyes
Unfortunately the clouds were not cooperative and by the time we arrived, you could not see the sun.
So I played on the bike racks instead!
