Just another day

Sunday was chilly, but no cold enough to keep me away from my bike when Mama offered to let me ride. For a while, I just rode in front of our apartment, in the courtyard.

Eventually I rode my bike up a hill, and then over to the playground. I went to the big person swings first, but I'm too short to sit down on these without help. So I belly swung for a while.

Mama put me on the swing the "right way" and I had a good couple of minutes.

There's a tunnel to crawl through (I wouldn't look at Mama)

Now I'll look at Mama!

I was honing my monkey boy skills in climbing up this rather high bar to get to the slide

Sliding like a big boy--and still dry!

Ghost Boy

I was displeased with my parents on Friday night. While I was driving Oma and Ompa crazy, they decided that I needed to be house broken. Mama also decided that this weekend would be the ideal time to start since she and Daddy are out of school for a while.

After going through all but one of my pairs of underwear, and having to clean my poop-paint masterpieces off the walls of my room, they gave me a diaper for bedtime. I repaid this by getting a nearly full tube of Aveno diaper rash cream. I smeared it on my face, my bed, my sleeper and really gave my hair a great new "do" before I began making noise and Mama came up to check on me.

She found me standing at the gate in all my ghostly make-up glory. Unfortunately, once she got the camera, I ran away, and then fell into buckets of tears because *I* wanted to take pictures. For some reason, Mama kept telling me "NO" so I got really mad at her.

(Mama in--regular bathing soap doesn't touch this stuff. We were able to wipe off the skin, but the hair remained one fairly solid clump. Water slid right off like his head was a freshly waxed car. I finally resorted to some Gojo mechanic's hand cleaner which finally broke up the mass. Regular washing with baby soap took out the Gojo. What a mess!)

Antema's swings

I spent time visiting family over the Thanksgiving week. I spent some time on Antema's swing set, and am getting the "hang" of the big boy swings.

Here's some video of Mama and I

Here's Antema and I

Here I am doing some belly swinging

Overcoming fear

For most of my life, I have been afraid of the vacuum. So this represents quite an achievement for me. Sorry about it being noisy.

Thundering elephant!

Me in my Halloween costume. (It came with a box of hand me down clothes from someone)

We went to a fall festival with some games and trick or treat stations. I totally rocked the "toilet toss" to the point where the fellows running this game loaded me down with all the rolls of toilet paper and laughed themselves silly as I dumped them all in.

Daddy and I did the cake walk. We didn't win anything, though.

Nicole's family came to the festival, and here I am with my cousin Patience, who dressed up as her favorite character, Elmo.

Mama took pictures of some of the creative costumes--like this hot dog hat.

The USS Enterprise won the costume contest.

Tickling the ivories

I was at Antema's house and began to play her piano (although it might technically be Aunt Jaki's)

This video was taken as some visitors were leaving. So ignore the other comments, but if you listen closely, you can hear me sing a little bit.

I started to get a bit tired and play with things other than my fingers. So I got in a little bit of trouble.

Marty McFly in training?

Here I am sleeping like Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future. Mama wonders what I'm dreaming about (because I really was asleep when she took this picture.)

Tuesday night brought SNOW!

This is a picture of our patio, taken before Mama came outside. She is estimating about 8" is on the wall.

Daddy shoveled a path to the sidewalk and out to the Big Blue Car (aka Cody)

I did much better in the snow with my hat and new coat. Mama didn't push it and expect me to build a snowman.

She is very glad that we got to play in the leaves on Sunday and Monday, because they have all fallen off the trees now and are WET. Wet leaves are not as much fun as dry crunchy leaves, or so she insists.

A lot of the trees fell down in Fort Collins. We have one branch in the tree behind the apartment that cracked and came down. Mama went out with her shovel and knocked more snow off the branches. She says that next time she might try tossing snowballs at them instead, because she might not get snowed on that way.

It has been warmer for the last couple of days, and a lot of the snow has melted. I guess there is probably more to come.

Fun with leaves

Yesterday was a beautiful day, and Mama used the snow shovel while I used the broom to make a pile of leaves. It took me a few minutes to warm up to the idea of jumping into the pile, but I finally decided that it was fun.

Mama let me have the camera, and these are some of the more interesting shots I took.

Mama finished the day with this shot

Mama and Russell's excellent adventure

Daddy had to go to school on Saturday, so Mama and I had the whole day to spend together. So come with me and I'll show you what we did! First we had to do the dishes, and I was a BIG help. Because we rode THREE buses, we had a break at the downtown transit center, and I took advantage of the time to run off some energy I did some hanging from the bench
The first thing I did was check out the playground near the Library. I gave Mama a few more gray hairs, and she put down the camera to help me climb up and move onto the structure. I chased my "friend" from school off the slide I ran around and around and around! We went into the Library for a while, and I played with the puppets and had Mama read me some books. Mama forgot to take pictures, though. Next to the Library is an area with old homesteads and an old school. We looked in the buildings and Mama took lots of pictures for Grandpa in Florida. I decided to close the door on the old house. This old homestead had a dirt floor. We then went inside the Discovery Museum of Fort Collins. I put my hand on this plate and it made lightning. I rode a wild horse THEN I FOUND THE DINOSAURS! Mama and I each did rubbings of a dinosaur. I made a diplodicus. She did an ankylosaurus (a pink one) I listened to a computer simulation of what this dinosaur would have sounded like, and then tried out the "homemade" simulator. I really got to roar like a dinosaur! I sat in a great dinosaur chair Then we caught three buses to go home. I was tired!
