Memorial Day

For a three year old, a visit with my Great Grandmother to make some new memories was a perfect thing to do on Memorial Day.
More with birthday and this visit later.

Denver Aquarium

Red fish
Blue fish
Homely fish
Lion fish
Abigail and I were quite amused by the otter's antics and acrobatics. So were Grandma and Mama.
Look Ma--no eyes!
Oh, there they are, silly Flounder
Sea Horses for Mama
Ray on the bottom
They move by "flapping" the outsides
This one spent some time on top of the tunnel
Big sea turtle
I spent time with Aunt Amanda and Abigail
Mama thought these silvery fish were a little funny looking--and maybe a bit grumpy--so she nicknamed them the "Fishes-in-law" for the reputation that in-laws have. I don't get it, but Mama says I'll understand later.
Cruising on Grandma's lap is the only way to go
Look, Uncle Kevin!
Touching starfish, and lots of sand.
Look, Grandma!
It's a Tiger! OK, he was sleeping up on top of the rocks, and was not inclined to move, but he was there with lots of fish to eat.
Abigail is demonstrating sea urchin eyes
Rainbow fish
Anemones and clown fish
Mama's artistic picture of the jellyfish
Getting ready to see the sharks. Do I look concerned?
Different kinds of sharks live at different layers
These live on the bottom
Abigail and I got to sit with the mermaids.
I can show you what I might look like in a deep sea diving rig and shark viewing tank. I might just stick with the way I got to see them, at least for a little while.

P--O--O--L

Daddy succumbed to a beautiful--and rather warm--day and got me a little pool yesterday. I got right in and enjoyed myself!
Daddy and Mama each took some time soaking their feet, although neither actually got IN. I splashed them a bit, though.
Today, even though the water was COLD (according to Mama, anyway) I got in and waded around. I ended up sitting a couple of times because I was being a bit of a monkey and lost my balance. So then I tossed in small rocks and reclaimed them for a while. Then I started dipping my head into the water, over the edge.
When I finished, I had a rather unique hairstyle by wading pool look going on.
I enjoyed it quite a bit. I really liked watching the videos that the parents took. Unfortunately, Mama is not seeing the place to upload them.
So I'll have to leave you with my silly hairdo and a smile.

Daddy's little helper

Has learned how to climb down from the counter by himself. Mama is not entirely sure if he climbed up by himself as well.
